Ever wonder what else to consider when booking a group meeting or a gathering getaway?

Just 2 weeks ago, Serene and Zhi Hoe, along with a few MICE bookers, explored what else there is to do at The Lexis Hibiscus Resort in Port Dickson. With 3-days and 2-night, the group not only experienced The Lexis Hibiscus but adventured quaint little Port Dickson.

Departing on Sunday, a group of 10, took off from Singapore by coach and arrived at the resort 4 hours later, warmly greeted by welcome drinks, a dance performance and flowers in the lobby followed by lunch at Wave Dining. They were feted to a specially prepared 3-course meal which was absolutely delicious. After lunch, the group was surprised with an amazing 6-minute helicopter ride. Known for its famous water chalets in the shape of Malaysia’s national flower - the Hibiscus.; the group was certainly in awe by the magnificent aerial view of the property as well as the green surroundings. After the exhilarating ride, we adjourned to our villas, ending the day with a good soak watching the sunset from our private plunge pools and steam rooms.

Day 2 started with a hearty breakfast at Roselle Coffee House where we were spoilt for choice with an international buffet spread including the local favourite, banana-leaf wrapped packets of Nasi Lemak (coconut rice) which comes with anchovies, peanuts, cucumber, a hard-boiled egg with a dollop of 'sambal' (chilli paste). After breakfast, we adjourned to the town's only ostrich farm and got up close with the majestic birds as well as other animals in the farm. Children below 40kg can even ride on an ostrich, how's that for something different? On a whim, a few of group members raced with the ostrich - the world's second fastest animal! One ticked off the bucket list with that activity! Within the ostrich farm, lies the Herbal Oasis Farm where visitors can explore different species of flowers and herbs. Relax and enjoy a cup of herb tea made from the plants in the garden. Other activities nearby included ATV rides and a visit to the historical Army Museum.

Upon our return to the hotel, a sumptuous 7-course meal at Yuan Chinese Restaurant awaited us and the meal was rounded up with delicious Sichuan pancakes followed by a robust karaoke session in the hotel.

On the final day, the group explored the property at leisure while enjoying the land and water activities, which included archery, segways, bicycle rides, games at the arcade and J water park rides. Some even enjoyed a relaxing spa session before lunching at UMI Japanese Restaurant. All too soon, it was time to bid farewell to the lovely Lexis team who made the stay so memorable and fun.

Definitely a thumbs up when it comes to including this into a group itinerary so connect with us and find out more of what the Lexis group has to offer!
